AUTOMOTIVE

The Automotive Service Technology Program taught at the Sheyenne Valley Area Career and Technology Center (SVACTC) is a nationally accredited program which utilizes the ASE National Educational Program of Standards and Curriculum called “MLR” Maintenance & Light Duty Repair.

The program is available to member school students. The program consists of classroom and “hands-on” tasks relating to the 8 core areas of Automotive Service Technology which include, Engine Repair, Electrical/Electronics, Steering & Suspension, Brakes, Heating & Air-Conditioning, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Automatic Transmissions and Transaxles and Engine Performance. These 8 areas divided into two sections that are taught on alternating years.
